Implicit biases exist when people unconsciously hold attitudes toward others or associate stereotypes with them. The implicit associations we harbor in our subconscious cause us to have feelings and attitudes about other people based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, age, and appearance. Implicit biases can influence how you behave toward members of marginalized social groups which can carry over to a number of settings, including school, work, and legal proceedings.

By taking this test, you will be able to consciously uncover stereotypes that are rooted in biases in order to make an effort to adjust your responses to marginalized groups.

This free library recognizes, celebrates, and honors the rich and diverse literature of Black people by providing a multitude of genres in which Black people are the narrators, the authors, the illustrators, and the creators of their own stories. This informative and vast library serves as a community space for readers to engage with Black stories across multiple genres.

Black people are often the pioneers of the very genres we listen to. This library of Black artists aims to show that Black people are not just a monolith--Black people exist in classical music, country, indie, pop, metal, etc. This Black music space is intended to be used as a means of discovery and exploration of Black artists.

Using streaming services, such as Spotify, is a great way to monetarily support Black artists. Another alternative streaming service platform is Bandcamp which better invests in its artists.
